Application guide

How to choose stretch film for sharp-edge, heavy or unstable pallet loads.

Glass, building materials, heavy cartons and irregular loads require more than a thickness choice. The film must be assessed against the actual load and route.

Start with the failure point.

Sharp corners can concentrate force into a small area. Heavy or uneven loads can shift during wrapping and handling. Before selecting a film, identify whether the real problem is edge puncture, film breakage on the wrapper, poor containment, top-load movement or damage after transport.

Four inputs that affect the recommendation.

Load and edge profileDescribe the product, pallet dimensions, weight, corner shape and any exposed sharp points.
Wrapping methodConfirm hand or machine wrapping, wrapper model, pre-stretch setting, film width and current gauge.
Required containmentClarify how stable the load must remain through storage, forklift handling and transport.
Current failure modeState when breaks, punctures or load movement occur. A photo or short video can make technical discussion faster.

Test performance on the real pallet.

High puncture resistance and stable containment are application outcomes, not universal promises. A fair trial uses the same load conditions and records film use, break events and the load condition after handling. This is the practical way to judge whether a high-performance or nano stretch-film construction is appropriate.
