Next-generation technology platform

67-layer nano stretch film: the next HONGYAN platform.

New W&H equipment is scheduled for commissioning in January 2027, creating the foundation for HONGYAN's next-generation multilayer cast-film development.

Important status: The 67-layer platform is planned technology, not a current commercial product specification. Final gauges, performance data and production availability will be confirmed through commissioning, production trials and customer validation.

Why develop a 67-layer platform?

In multilayer cast film, layer design can help separate functions that compete with one another: containment, puncture resistance, cling, stiffness, clarity and elastic recovery. More layers are not a guarantee by themselves. Their value lies in how the finished film performs on a real pallet and wrapper.

For buyers, the practical question remains the same: can the selected film reduce grams per pallet while keeping wrapping continuity and load stability where they need to be? That question must be answered with controlled testing—not marketing claims.

Who should start the conversation now?

Distributors, converters and high-consumption users planning 2027 sourcing can share their current film specification, wrapper model, load profile and annual volume. This lets HONGYAN identify the right 56-layer benchmark today and understand which future 67-layer trials may be relevant after commissioning.

A disciplined trial path.

  1. Define the current film and the exact pallet / wrapper conditions.
  2. Establish a 56-layer comparison using grams per pallet, uptime and load stability.
  3. After 67-layer commissioning, review trial readiness against confirmed production data—not assumptions.
